Love Always Wins!
In the aftermath of the horrific Las Vegas shootings, one thing is clear. Love always wins! Though we may lose all hope for humanity because of the media sensationalism of hatred and violence, most people are good. We have witnessed it first hand, the coming together of the American people to love, support, pray and donate their blood, money, and talents to serve and comfort others. Things are not perfect in America, and changes need to be made in many areas. However, be encouraged; it’s important to remember that Love always defeats fear, violence, hatred, and tragedy through people’s goodness. As we move forward as a United people, we have an opportunity to “be the change we wish to see in the world,” as Gandhi said. With the hurricanes and Vegas challenges, we have been reminded that Love is at the core of all humanity. It is up to each one of us to carry forth that Love into the world daily. It requires us to take personal responsibility for our actions and the impact our choices have on others. We can no longer justify away, use the excuse of entitlement, or accept unloving behavior from ourselves or our family members. Personal responsibility fosters a “win, win” environment through unselfish compromise to best serve the whole. We must replace fear and ignorance with love and empowerment. Martin Luther King Jr. said it best, “one of the greatest problems is that the concepts of love and power are usually contrasted as opposites. Love is identified with a resignation of power and power with a denial of love. It is necessary to realize that power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love” Love is an action word with the Divine supernatural power of transformation embedded within it. That’s why love always wins. Choose to be part of the win, win by loving powerfully today and every day. 😍Prayers going up to all affected by The Vegas tragedy
