Jesus, is raising us up

Throughout the last couple of months, questions about Jesus have been on my mind. I have felt there is a deeper experience of him besides what is most commonly understood. Whenever I have questions, I go to God for the answers. I never know how the answers will come, but I keep my mind open, knowing He will give me a sign of confirmation. So, what are my questions? Is the mainstream Christian interpretation of the following verse correct? John 14:6, when Jesus says, “I am the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me.” Must one accept Jesus before they can find and commune with God? How can so many non-Christians be so close to God without acknowledging Jesus? Why, after believing in Jesus, getting baptized, accepting him as my lord and savior, and studying his word, was I still unable to intimately know him? Was Jesus’s purpose fulfilled upon his death and resurrection until he comes again? Will those who believe in him automatically be taken up at the harvest time, leaving non-believers behind? Is there deeper importance of Jesus we are missing?

Ask, and you shall receive! One night, I had a dream telling me that Jesus is the exponential factor of life. I understood it mathematically as life to the 10th power but still wasn’t sure if only the select could receive. Shortly after, I met a gentleman who meditated daily to connect with God. He had never gone to church, never taken on any religious doctrine, yet Jesus had given him an intimate experience of himself. He immediately recognized Jesus and felt unlimited joy beyond earthly explanation. How could this man know God first and then Jesus? As a non-believer, why would Jesus come to him? Could it be we must connect deeply to God first before Jesus can reach us?

Last night I had a dream where God was teaching me about John 14:6 above. Reminding me of the deeper meaning of Jesus. A belief in Jesus isn’t enough. He is to become alive in each of us. The only way he can do that is by our choice to enter into an intimate experience of God. God purifies our souls so we can awaken to the truth. “On that day, you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” John 14:20 Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is a result of awakening to your truth. Jesus will make himself known to all who know the Father.

Up to this point, it had been my personal experience; the more intimately I connect to God, the more Jesus shows up. Of course, I have always believed in Jesus, but I now understand, Jesus did come for all and tore the veil to remove the separation. Anyone can have access to God if they choose to develop the relationship. Jesus is a by-product and a gift to those who know God. Jesus gave us full access to God, but it is our responsibility to cultivate the relationship. God then leads us into the healing of our soul, where we begin to remember the truth, and the darkness of our soul is replaced with light. Then what we find is, Jesus becomes alive in us. “I am the way the truth and the life” takes on new meaning. Jesus says, “Whoever seeks me with their whole heart will find me.” When we open our hearts to Jesus, our new way of being aligns with his command, “Love one another as I have loved you.” His gift of righteousness is an automatic response. We become a reflex of Love.
